VAIO TypeU 見てきました。

ふふふ こちらにも虫が騒いでる人が（^_^;A
初代Dynabookや98noteをスキー宿に持ち寄って、公衆電話に音響カプラで接続したりした仲ですし（笑）。
その頃想像した以上の「理想のマシン」がそこにあるのですし。どうしてもPDAでは残る不満は、「PCだったらできるのに」という事があるためです。「同期」になじめなかったからです。
新型VAIOのお披露目を見てきました。見て、持って、弄って、もうめろめろです。縦位置用にもボタンが配置してあり、カーソルボタンも使いやすい。DVD内蔵よりも、小さく軽いほうが大事、きっと。
無理矢理、Navin'You入れてやる。ロータスオーガナイザ2001ならクリエオーガナイザに負けない。SSHだろうがPRAだろうがSoftEtherだろうが問題なし。Perlが使える。cygwinだって、linuxデュアルブートだってできる。StarOffice入れておけば、同期なんてしなくてもOffice文書が開ける（編集はチョットこわいが）。腐れ縁のNetscapeだって使えるし。
で、今PCを800x600で使ってみています。意外と使えるもんですね。少なくともlibrettoの640x480よりも広いし、VAIO C1の1024x480よりも使いやすいです。 そういえば、この解像度のノートPC使った事がありません。変なノートPCばかり使ってるせいですね。

もうこれ力一杯同意しちゃいます。
いちいち同期するくらいなら、まるごと全部3kg位持ち運んでやる! ってね。だからzaurusもclieも挫折しちゃったんだな、あたしは。

VAiO505EXが800x600だったけど、仕事に使っても全然問題なかったよ。C1-MRXの1280x600も結局横は余ってたし。
web観るんだったら、むしろ縦長の600x800のほうが横長の1280x600より観やすいかもね。
いいなぁ、触りまくって来たんだ。あたしらはいつ触れるかなぁ。

実際に見てみると、写真からの印象である「ゲームウォッチみたい感」はありませんでした。イルミネーションスイッチが実に良い高級感を引き出してます。
あと持った時の軽さが快感です。これをPCよりも軽いと感じるか、PDAよりも重いと感じるか？が分かれ道。PTC-300と大して変わらない重さなんですが。
